Originally from Atlanta, GA, Michelle is a recent graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Shortly after graduation, Michelle booked a Lead in her first feature, 212, written and directed by newcomer, Anthony Ng. The Film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and continued to win the hearts of audiences at the Woodstock, Atlanta, Florida, and Stockholm film festivals, amongst others.While the film awaits distribution, Michelle has relocated to Los Angeles, dyed her hair brown, then red, now back to blonde, and found herself quite busy her first few years in Los Angeles, making several additional films and 2 commercials.
One of the films, I Kicked Luis Guzman in the Face!, which is currently in festivals, was Exec. Produced by Jack Bender, and also stars Luis himself. Additionally, she shot a supporting role in Confessions of a Shopaholic, starring Isla Fisher, directed by P.J. Hogan, and Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. This past summer, you may have caught her (with red hair) as the “seriously!?” gal in HBO’s True Blood (3rd episode of last season if you’re still catching up).
She also sings, plays guitar, bass, harmonica, ukulele, a bit of drums, and some keys. Having fronted the folk rock band, “Spitfire” in New York City, she currently fronts the folk fusion LA based band, “Chemistry Class,” In addition, she is a UCB alumna and a member of the sketch comedy group, “The Strait Jacket Society,” in Los Angeles. Currently located in LA, she is also a local hire in NYC, New Jersey, Atlanta, and the Florida panhandle (and consequently parts of Louisiana). She has representation in all three regions. With strong roots in theatre, and a quirky comedic style, Michelle is always down for a camping trip, a fancy dinner, and tea party with home baked gluten free goodies!
